Freight Solutions for Local and Long-Distance Moves

Freight jobs come in different shapes, weights and distances, so we built Rapid Route Transport around practical freight transport in Mackay with flexible pickup and delivery options. We move light to heavy freight, organise backloading and arrange door-to-door pickup and delivery for customers travelling between Brisbane and Cairns, further afield in Queensland or interstate.

With more than 10 years of transport-industry experience behind the wheel, our owner-operator can talk through the load and route before quoting, so you know what the booking covers. Short-notice bookings are available where scheduling allows, and we operate 24/7 for added flexibility when organising freight. You can also view examples of the work we handle in our gallery.

Flexible Freight Options for Different Loads

Our freight options are designed to cover different load sizes, routes and pickup needs without making the process more complicated than it needs to be.

  • Door-to-door pickup & delivery: We collect freight from the agreed pickup point and transport it to the arranged destination. This keeps the movement in one coordinated booking.
  • Backloading: Backloading can be a practical option when suitable space is available on an existing route. It can help make use of planned vehicle movements without requiring a dedicated trip.
  • Interstate freight: Freight can travel beyond Queensland when an interstate delivery is required. We'll discuss the route, pickup and destination details before confirming the booking.
  • Light to heavy freight: We handle freight across a range of sizes and weights, from lighter items through to heavier loads. Share the load details when requesting a quote so the right transport arrangement can be planned.

FAQs

Provide the pickup and delivery locations, a description of the freight and any relevant size or weight details. Clear information helps determine the most suitable transport arrangement before booking.

Backloading uses available vehicle space on a route that is already being travelled. Availability depends on the route, load requirements and whether suitable capacity is available.

Interstate freight can be arranged when the route and load requirements suit the transport available. Pickup, delivery and load details should be confirmed before the booking is finalised.
